Userboxes on Wikia are, basically, small coloured boxes which allow users to add small messages on their user page. They are extensions of the babel boxes used for users' language abilities.

Userboxes show other Wikians your interests, accomplishments, and skills. As with Wikipedia, userboxes that are designed to provoke or offend others or their views rather than show expertise and favorirism are generally discouraged.
